Anachronistic Folk is primarily focused on documenting the research, projects, and general interests of Lady Margot Leclerc. Lady Margot is a persona for the Society for Creative Anachronism, an educational non-profit dedicated to the exploration of history prior to 1600.
Lady Margot is from the Alsace region in the mid-15th century, however, as the child of spice merchants she has travelled to other areas of modern day France, Italy, and Spain. This background was chosen based on the confluence of interests and the area’s importance in trade during the time period.
